· Appointed as the 2004 Chairman of the Ionia County Bush-Cheney campaign 

· Brian and his wife Julie have been intimately involved in preparation and organization of annual fundraisers for the Ionia County Republican Party, including the annual Lincoln Day and Ionia Free Fair Tent Dinners
